Mascot Series - Duke Blue Devils

For the third installment of the Mascot Series (Sparty was 1st and Raider Red was 2nd), I chose to go with the Duke University Blue Devils. As a mascot, there is only 1 available "look" on their face, and this Blue Devil's look will make you wet your pants. His stare down can take your breath away and make your stomach turn in an instant.

BOOM!

The final result after 60-65 hours of laboring, layering and making thousands and thousands of tiny points:

It's always fun to think how just a few paint brushes and some paint hold the possibilities to make anything and everything you could possible think of - and even more that you couldn't even think of. Dream Impossible.
The buyer of this piece will have the option to have the artist add any desired phrase to the athletic tape on the forehead of the Blue Devil. It has become a recent tradition of the Blue Devil to write messages with a Sharpie marker and tape them to his head during games, so it's only fitting to bring that to this canvas.
