Motives

Everyday I get new devotions sent to my Blackberry, along with single scriptures throughout the day, to keep feeding myself from the inside-out. This one I thought a lot of people could benefit from reading, because I know I did.

"PROVERBS 16:2 NLT
2 People may be pure in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their motives.

Motives are important to God.

God is interested in WHY we do things, not just in WHAT we do.

Why do you do what you do?

Is it to help others? To please God? Or do you live focused totally on yourself?

These questions are important to ask ourselves. As First Corinthians 11:31 says, "if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged."

However, we must use caution when trying to judge other people. We don't know their motives.

PROVERBS 21:2 LB
2 We can justify our every deed, but God looks at our motives.

We often justify ourselves, but judge others harshly. We may judge ourselves based on our good intentions, but we are only capable of judging others by their actions.

So, we must be very cautious about judging others in a condemning way.

1 CORINTHIANS 4:5 NIV
5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.

One main reason we are not qualified to judge others is because we don't know their thoughts, intentions, and motives. Only God does."

Revive + Dr. Romanelli + Mike Posner DETROIT Collection

This is absolutely awesome on numerous levels: (1) It's good for the pride of Detroit, (2) It's awesome that Revive is making so many big moves in the industry, (3) Having Mike Posner and Big Sean a big part of the collection speaks volumes for the Michigan music scene, and (4) I love Grant Hill and all Detroit sports teams, past and present. This collection pumps me UP!!!! Hahaaa

"Dr. Romanelli’s latest work sees him create some sports-influenced work for Detroit retailer Revive. The collection was born out of a relationship between Romanelli and artist Mike Posner and his manager. Taking into account both the roots of Posner and his alma matter, Duke University, the result were pieces based on both some of the Motor City’s most influential athletes as well as the powerhouse NCAA school. The personalities making their way onto jackets and vests were Dennis Rodman, Grant Hill, Barry Sanders, Nicklas Lidstrom, Steve Yzerman, Bill Laimbeer and Lance Parrish. The aesthetics of the apparel created is trademark Dr. Romanelli with its deconstructionist techniques seen throughout each piece." -Hypebeast

DREAM IMPOSSIBLE Collaboration, Part II

To commemorate the first (of two) music videos being released by Joe Buys, he and I teamed up once again to produce inspiration in the form of a t-shirt. DREAM IMPOSSIBLE is more than a motto, it's a lifestyle. If you follow your dreams with an unwavering passion, then only great things will result.

This shirt is available only online at www.theTWAYcollection.bigcartel.com in limited qualities. The previous Dream Impossible shirt sold out very quickly, so don't hesitate on this one.

Random thought: Who would ever think of taking a Polaroid camera into space?

Meet: MDA Productions (Music Defines Art)

Bryan "BP" Palmer and Adam "A-Hop" Hopkins
MDA (Music Defines Art) Productions is a musical partnership between Adam "A-Hop" Hopkins and Bryan Palmer. Both artists are currently full-time college students, only 19 years old, and are from Troy, Mich.

I've known A-Hop for the last couple of years through a mutual connection within the Detroit Pistons organization; He has always been a big music head and a very creative person. There were a couple times when he even got me down into his studio for some music-making sessions. HA, good times! Anyways, A-Hop is the main music producer and tech side of the music group while Palmer brings talents as a pianist, singer, songwriter, and producer.

If you have been to a Michigan State University football game recently, you are probably familiar with the chant from the movie, 300. Known to Sparty fans as the "What is your profession" chant, the duo put together their own version of the fan chant into a track. Listen to it below via YouTube, then support the young entrepreneurs by purchasing it on iTunes. You can also find them on MySpace.

Joe Buys: Sniffed by Ellen

Joe Buys gets his body sniffed by Ellen Degeneres. Private Practice's Kate Walsh also sniffs him while half-naked. I'm not kidding! Watch this clip and see for yourself. Not a bad gig, huh?

Wisdom From Will

I am honored when someone comes across a video, news article, or speech and say that they thought it fit perfectly within the T.WAY mission to positively impact our world. A friend forwarded me this video of Will Smith sharing some wisdom he had acquired over his remarkably successful journey. After watching this, I felt the Fresh Prince's passion and purpose is exactly what I desire to share through this T.WAY collection of art, design, and discussion. See for yourself:
