Ride Till Ya Slide

This pair I actually worked on during the summer, so it has certainly been a long time coming to share this story with you. I received an email from Chris (whom I have never met before), and after exchanging quite a few more messages with him, I began to really understand and appreciate his story. Over a year ago, Chris had a severe motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed. After such a horrific experience, you would think most people would be scarred for life. But with Chris it was the complete opposite. His passion for bikes, 4-wheelers, etc. trumped any thoughts of caution or fear. Call it living life on the edge or whatever you'd want, but it's a lesson I learned from him: If you have a passion for something, go after it WHOLE-HEARTEDLY. Do not be timid or afraid of failure - just go for it all-out. Chris wanted these shoes to commemorate his accident, and I wanted to do them for him as a reminder to myself that chasing passion should be more important than the fear of failure.

This is a video Chris sent me of his first ride since his accident. Take his passion and use it in your life. You know the saying, "if you fall off the horse, get back on it." Well, Chris certainly did so, in an extreme way.
