Today is the first Monday of the New Year; "Looks like someone has the case of the Mondays," (Office Space), but actually, I'm very excited for the New Year. 2009 was a tough year for just about everyone. The last 2 weeks alone I found to be challenging and very testing. I graduated from college, which is a great celebration but also very difficult once you begin seeing the bills starting to come once thrown out in the real real world. Then the week after Christmas, my Grandpa Dawson Way passed away - which is still difficult to recover from. I'm not going to go into depth about the impact of his passing, but there have been a few different things from it that I will always carry with me and use for inspiration during time of need. I usually do not do official New Year resolutions, but I feel it is necessary for me to at least compile a short list of goals for the brand in 2010. So here it is (list subject to change):
(1) Create a living doing something I love and create jobs for others
(2) Inspire people to follow their dreams and help to make them happen
(3) Sell product into national college bookstores by this Fall
(4) Launch the brand new company website by this Spring/Summer
(5) Begin the college lecture series this upcoming semester
(6) Design new projects with more celebrity clients and brands
(7) Produce the initial pieces of the T.Way line
(8) Have fun and enjoy living every single day!
