Why? Just because I used to loved watching Doug as a kid growing up. He's the man.

Stevie Soul Does It Again

My dude just hit me up with this and I just had to post it on the blog right away. Check it!!! STEVIE SOUL and N E MEANS follow up Volume 1 with a jam session in Detroit. After laying it down for the DMV in their first series, the two artists decided that they were going to pay homage to the D for their second collaborative video. In this footage, Stevie Soul shows off his singing ability while N E MEANS adds on some lyrical visuals of downtown Detroit. You'll definitely be nodding your head to this one! Check Stevie Soul out at his site: www.steviesoul.com

New Video: Chris Paul Charity Weekend

The go-to video dude, Lindsey Adams, did it again. This little video features some of the highlights from the North Carolina trip to Chris Paul's Winston-Salem Charity Weekend. As you will or have seen in the video, T.Way donated a pair of custom sneakers for the Live Auction which benefitted the Chris Paul Foundation after selling for $3,750. CP3 was actually outbid on these shoes...by his Grandpa. More information and pictures of the shoes and trip can be found a few posts below.

Thanks again to all those involved and made the event such a big success. Thanks to JStew and the crew at All City Kicks sneaker boutique in Grand Rapids, MI for donating the originally all-white Nike RT1 sneakers. Thank you Jennifer Keene, Adrienne Rehm, Lindsey Adams, and Kim Way!

LeBron Will Wear #6...In Miami??

Last night after the game in Miami, Lebron said this: "I think no guy in the NBA should ever wear 23…[Jordan] can’t get the NBA logo, much respect to Jerry West, so I think his number shouldn’t be worn by any player in the NBA so I’m thinking about just changing my number next year just to show the tribute of what he did for the game." LeBron then said he was changing his jersey number to #6. Which got me thinking...(1) LeBron and Wade have been talking about playing together after this year, (2) if Miami resigned Wade, they would still have cap room to sign LeBron, (3) the Heat retired Jordan's #23 so no one could wear that number on the Heat team (which raised some curiosity because MAYBE, just maybe, LeBron took this into consideration and this is his way of placing a disclaimer he would change his number anyways, (4) LeBron vacations in Miami quite often already, (5) if LeBron is like me and has grown up in snow all his life, full-time living in the Miami sun is an attractive option, (6) Miami may not be NYC, but it is still a much bigger market than Cleveland, and (7) Miami is much closer to being able to win a championship than the Knicks would ever be. This is my opinion, and I think it could definitely be possible...

LeBron Blocked then DWade Posterizes

This is just absolutely nasty from last night's Cavs v. Heat game. LeBron gets swatted on a dunk attempt then DWade goes down the court and posterizes the look-alike from the Simpsons.

T.Way College Series Shirts Being Seen

Grand Valley State played at Michigan State in the first basketball game of the year and there were numerous T.Way 'We Run' shirts in the crowd, including a good number in one bunch from the true GVSU support group. There were also a few others scattered throughout the Breslin Center, and even one was spotted on the Big Screen in the middle of the IZZONE. Thanks for all the support! (Picture courtesy of Kelsey Schultz)

It was homecoming weekend at Florida State University, and guess what made an appearance? That's right...the T.Way 'We Run FSU' shirts. Hip-hop recording artist JBiZzNys and his #1, Tatiana (who just happens to work at Nike...hmmm...?? hahaa) were reppin the latest installment of the T.Way 'We Run' College Series tees along with their friends. Big thanks for the support and can't wait for what's coming up next, JBiZz!

Ferris State University's Athletic Director, Mr. Tom Kirinovic loved the shirts! The FSU shirt also acted as the cover-up for the custom-designed Ferris State AF1 sneakers for my grandpa (see below posts for more details) at the Hall of Fame Induction ceremony dinner. Channel 7 ABC News in Detroit

Here's the footage from Channel 7 ABC news station in Detroit. Personally I greatly, greatly dislike watching or listening to myself, but hopefully you can at least stand it, haha. Special thanks to Vic Faust and the Channel 7 people, as well as Pastor Ken Shelton who connected us. It was LIVE on Saturday and we had to wake up at 5:30AM to make it to the station on time, so give me a break if I'm looking and sounding a little sleepy, ha.

CRONS Sneaker Project

*You can WIN these sneakers* This pair was commissioned by the athletic apparel company CRONS (which stands for "Come Ready Or Never Start") based out of Pittsburgh, PA. Their CEO, Pat Cavanaugh, played hoops at Pitt and started the brand CRONS with the mindset that if you work harder than everyone else and ignore the negative noise around you, then any dream is possible. Sound familiar? That's because it sounds exactly like the same story the T.Way brand is founded upon...which explains why this collaboration project was such a great one to be a part of.

You can WIN this pair of sneakers through a contest on SLAMonline.com. Stay posted here to learn how you could own this pair! For more info about the CRONS brand, visit their site: http://www.crons.com

New Sneakers: Hall of Fame

This sneaker project commemorates my grandpa's induction into the Ferris State University Hall of Fame. He served as their Athletic Director for over 20 years and racked up countless accolades during that time. The FSU bulldog logo was designed by my Uncle Terry a number of years ago. The logo has since been seen all over the world, and is obviously the focal point in this pair. Considering the facts that my uncle designed the University's logo and that these were a surprise gift to my grandpa for his HOF induction, this project is one of the most special I've been able to be a part of thus far.
